Our Community Silver Bow Montessori School was established after we identified a real need for well-rounded children’s education. Our purpose is to nurture independent children engaged in joyful learning. We provide high quality, authentic Montessori education that includes multi-age classrooms and hands-on learning. Students move at own pace and receive individualized assessment. Additional Programs Extended Care Program ― Before and after school care 7:30 am to 5:30 pm; Summer Adventures! ― Enriched childcare during summer months; Abundant Curricular Enrichments ― Future Problem Solving, Lego Robotics, outdoor skills, swimming, hiking, fall and spring overnight fieldtrips, Spanish, drama, downhill skiing, cross country skiing, CrossFit, ice skating, gardening, sustainability activities. Affiliation SBM is a full member of the American Montessori Society and head teachers are AMS credentialed Montessori educators. Geographic Service Area Families have enrolled students at SBM from Butte and surrounding areas including Whitehall, Anaconda, Deer Lodge, Cardwell, Glen, and Dillon. SBM is an independent, 501(c)3, private, non-profit educational organization. As such, the school receives no government funding except for a very limited number of state-sponsored childcare scholarships. SBM depends upon financial support from parents, faculty, the PTO, alumni, extended family, Southwest Montana businesses, and others to sustain its operations and physical improvements.
